I was invited for Saturday lunch at Bronte by the lovely ladies from Cos Box. I walk by the Strand all the time but I have never noticed this place before which is surprising since it has a very lush entrance. The venue opened in the summer last year and was designed by Tom Dixon.
It is part bar and restaurant and divided into five areas – bar, cafe, conservatory, mezzanine with very a glamorous dining room which is tucked away in the back. The seating ranges from plush booths to chic tables that are dotted around the room. This place has a great vibe with a mixture of modern day twist combined with classic style. They serve meals that will take you from breakfast, lunch to a late dinner.
I ordered Blueberry Pancakes with Cream and the serving consisted of two large pancakes which to be honest I did not think would be very filling, so I was already thinking about side dishes. However, I was mistaken because these pancakes were unbelievably filling. They were light and fluffy and tasted lovely with the cream.
The service was not too shabby either, the staff were attentive and dealt with all our needs. Even when it did get frantic, they remained coolheaded and professional.
This really is a lovely space tucked away in Central London; the dining area is super glam with quirky gold light fittings, shiny dark wood and beautiful rose-quartz seating. It is the perfect setting for celebrating someone’s birthday, having a leisurely brunch or stopping by for drinks after work. The whole place has the wow factor from the entrance with the colonnaded terrace that is oh so Instagrammable and the reception which is all glitz with a touch of St Tropez.
