Eating Out

Lunching at The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club

I have been to The Breakfast Club (the one in Soho) twice; the first time was out of curiosity because I had heard so much about it and wanted to see if it lived up to its hype. The Breakfast Club is indeed a very popular place and there are always queues. However, both times we went there we did not have to wait long because the queues went down very quickly.

The Breakfast Club was opened in 2005 and made a name for themselves for making tasty and filling breakfasts and brunches. They have cafes all over London, Brighton and Oxford and proudly refer to themselves as a caff that serves really good grub. Each cafe has a different menu but the one in Soho dishes up anything from a Full English, pancakes, sandwiches and burgers.

The first time I went here I had the Full English and the second time I had the All American Pancakes which came with eggs, sausage, home-style potatoes and streaky bacon. I don’t really do savoury pancakes so I was curious to see how this tasted and I will tell you that it was good. Also the Full English was pretty tasty too.

Like The Ivy Cafe, The Breakfast Club makes simple food and they do it very well. They have employed a lot of old fashioned values too. The Soho venue is a tiny and cosy cafe that has a bright orange decor. For such a small place it contains a lot of light and is very sunny. All the hot drinks are served in big mugs and the seating is a mixture of sturdy wooden tables and benches..

I did enjoy my time there, the staff are friendly and even keep you updated when you are waiting outside on how long the waiting time is. I don’t know how they do it but the staff from The Breakfast Club keep those queues moving like no other but they did it without making you feel under any pressure to leave.

I would definitely recommend this place – but only if you have a lot of time on your hands. If you are not a patient person then I would advice you not to head to this place because you will see the queues, turn round and leave. Oh and don’t even think about coming here during your work lunch break!

This looks incredible, is there anything better than a full English breakfast?! The pancakes look amazing too.

I love breakfast so I think I will have to try and visit next time I am in London. It sounds like a great place to visit, I would never have thought of having pancakes with a full English x

It’s very cosy in there and not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.
