One of the delights of living in Rochester is having access to some of the most lovely restaurants and cafes. One of them is Fleur de The which is an ever so pretty tearoom that offers a wide selection of homemade cakes, drinks and pastries.
If you like chintz with quirky quotes set in a lovely peaceful ambience then you are in the right place. These people take their teas very seriously; it is served with the milk separately with in a tea set. They also serve Afternoon Tea if you are in the mood for indulging or celebrating and you can hire out the lower ground floor for private events.
I am a regular here when I am catching up with a friend, that’s when I am not in Cafe Nucleus (look out for a review of that place). The place is light and airy and private enough to have a good chinwag without having to shout to be heard. You are also surrounded by pretty cutlery and crockery, greeting cards and gifts.
Fleur de The fits perfectly on Rochester High Street which is full of Charles Dickens heritage.
