I experienced the wonders of Belvedere Vodka at the book launch for Helen Jennings’ New African Fashion and at Arise Magazine Fashion Week where I fought my way to a heaving bar. Belvedere has really earned themselves cool stripes by aligning themselves to chic events like London Fashion Week, Interview magazine October launch party and Toronto International Film Festival.
Collaboration seems to be the name of the game with Belvedere as they have teamed up with Randall & Aubin to create a brunch menu inspired by the ingredients and history of the iconic cocktail. There are five specific dishes which are peppered with key ingredients from the Bloody Mary cocktail. Part of the deal is a range of new flavoured Bloody Marys such as Spicy Apple, Canary Mary, Very Mary, Belvedere Pineapple Mary and Cucumber Fix.
I attended the launch of Belvedere Bloody Mary Brunch Menu at Randall & Aubin which is a quaint eatery that stems of Britishness. The menu tells the story of the Bloody Mary and consists of Pork schnitzel with fried eggs, capers & potato salad, soft egg scotch style with anchovy mayonnaise & truffle, Randall’s burger with flat fried egg & blue cheese, Hot asparagus, crisp maple bacon, poached eggs & muffin and Omelette Arnold Benedicts.
Each cocktail has been specifically made for each dish and it was delicious to say the least especially topped with some scrumptious Bloody Marys. What a delightful way to experience brunch on a lazy weekend whilst roaming round Soho. I am not really one to drink that early in the day but needless to say I felt rather light headed as I sauntered down the streets of Soho. I know I am such a lightweight. Well after my shenanigans of the morning it was off home where I sent myself off to bed in disgrace.
The Belvedere Bloody Mary Brunch Menu will be available every weekend at Randall & Aubin, 16 Brewer Street, Soho, London W1F 0SQ from 30th April till 30th May on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.
